A type of steam treatment with rice boluses. A special variety of rice is cooked with milk and a herbal decoction until it becomes a pudding like
consistency. This mixture is then wrapped into boluses. The boluses are heated and pounded on the body.
A type of steam therapy in which herbal leaves and herbal powers are used to administer steam to the prescribed areas of the body. Leaves of herbs are made into boluses and pounded and managed on the whole or part of the body after dipping in warm herbal oil.
This treatment is usually performed after the body has been anointed with oil by abhyanga. The patient sits in a wooden steam box which covers the body but not the head. The body is exposed to a continuous flow of herbal steam.
